I was raised on the back of a horse. Cattle and Ranch work have always been a part of my life; I've broke, trained and sold many horses. For years, my husband, Wayne and I traveled from Texas to Washington State while he competed in Rodeos.
One of my first real estate adventures was dividing up 60 acres into a subdivision and selling thirty of the lots. In 1984 we designed and built a four-bedroom log home-cutting pines from our property, hand peeling them, then had a mill to cut them into a kit for a log home. I sold that home and 2 acres for enough to buy us a home and 82 acres in Grapeland, Texas. I designed our home and blueprints for our second house in Grapeland; my husband and myself built it and it's where we live today.
When we came to Grapeland in 1997, I was the only woman sitting in an auction barn buying and selling cattle. Those guys sure made it tough on me at first, but it didn't take long for them to realize I wasn't giving up. I like to meet each challenge head-on, and I remember my Dad always saying "can't never could" and I always said "if there is a will there is a way."
We also put God first in our lives. I give Him all the praise and glory for where we are today. In 2003 we started The Cowboy Church of Houston County. Our church is an awesome testimony of how God has helped form my goal to treat everyone fairly and to be honest.
One of our children, Jaimie Harvey is a Realtor in Southeast Texas for United Country JW Realty & Auction Services. We are a real estate family,I worked for Keller Williams for 5 years and since 2021 I am now I'm a part of the awesome company with United Country Real Estate JW Realty & Auction Services where I'll work as hard for your dreams as I have for my own.
It would be a pleasure doing business with you.
